E.C. Opens Debate On Updating European Labor Laws

Law360, New York (November 22, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- The European Commission issued a report Wednesday outlining its suggestions about how the European Union could update labor laws, create more jobs and boost growth.

The Green Paper report is part of the initiation of a four-month long open discussion among E.U. member states, trade unions, employers’ groups and other organizations on these topics. The E.C. has called for contributions to the open discussion until March 31, 2007.
