Mead Johnson Seeks New Trial In Baby Formula Suit

Law360, New York (December 16, 2009, 3:21 PM EST) -- Mead Johnson & Co. is seeking to undo a $13.5 million jury verdict and injunction holding it liable for advertisements that claimed its name-brand baby formula, Enfamil LIPIL, was superior to store-brand versions.

The company filed motions Tuesday in the U.S. Court for the Eastern District of Virginia to vacate the injunction and obtain a new trial or have the damages reduced in the dispute with store-brand formula maker PBM Products LLC.
