CIT Rules For ThyssenKrupp In Steel Duty Dispute

Law360, New York (December 16, 2009, 5:01 PM EST) -- ThyssenKrupp Mexinox SA de CV has prevailed in its challenge to the U.S. government's collection of anti-dumping duties on stainless steel sheet and strip products from Mexico and redistribution of those duties to domestic steelmakers, which the Mexican steelmaker said violated laws enacting the North American Free Trade Agreement.

The Continued Dumping and Subsidy Offset Act of 2000 does not apply to the anti-dumping orders on the steel products specified, Judge Donald C. Pogue ruled in the U.S. Court of International Trade on Tuesday.
