Instrument Maker's Insurer Wins On Damages Value

Law360, New York (December 18, 2009, 4:42 PM EST) -- A judge has found that aircraft instrumentation maker Aerosonic Corp. is entitled to less than half the damages it has claimed for fire damage to a factory building, siding with Liberty Mutual Fire Insurance Co. in a dispute over how claims should be computed.

Judge Richard A. Lazzara issued a ruling Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida granting the insurer’s motion for summary judgment on Aerosonic’s claim that it is owed additional funds under the policy.
