Judge Signs Off On Spansion Disclosure Statement

Law360, New York (December 22, 2009, 1:54 PM EST) -- The judge overseeing the Spansion Inc. bankruptcy has greenlighted the flash memory chip maker's disclosure statement for its Chapter 11 reorganization plan, while rejecting a bid by an ad hoc group of its equity security holders to form an official committee.

Judge Kevin J. Carey of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware approved the second amended disclosure statement for Spansion's reorganization plan on Friday, saying that it fulfilled the requirements of the Bankruptcy Code.
