World Fuel Services Wins $4.3M In Spat With Iraq

Law360, New York (December 21, 2009, 1:20 PM EST) -- A federal judge has ordered Iraq and its water services ministry to pay $4.3 million to a subsidiary of World Fuel Services Corp., reinforcing a U.K. court's judgment in a long-running breach of contract feud over maritime fuel.

Judge J. Frederick Motz of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland on Friday also ruled that Iraq and one of its ministries, the State Enterprise for Water Transport, would owe interest accruing at $712 per day until the judgment is paid, plus the cost to...
