Ex-Security Worker Gets Prison For Kickback Scheme

Law360, New York (December 21, 2009, 6:57 PM EST) -- An Oklahoma man who formerly worked for an international security company has been hit with a year in prison after pleading guilty to soliciting kickbacks from security vendors in exchange for helping them land subcontracts in Afghanistan.

Judge Leonie M. Brinkema of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia sentenced Bryan Lee Burrows, 42, to 12 months in prison plus one day and two years of supervised release for his part in the kickback scheme, the U.S. Department of Justice said Friday....
