Anthem Clause Strangles State Health Plan: Conn. AG

Law360, New York (December 22, 2009, 2:11 PM EST) -- Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal has called on Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield to discontinue a contractual requirement that it pay similar rates to those of a state health plan for uninsured adults, a stipulation that he says strangles the growth of the state plan.
