Growth-Hungry Firms To Eye Calif., DC, China In 2010

Law360, New York (January 2, 2010, 5:34 PM EST) -- Law firms are much more likely to be shuttering offices in 2010 than opening new ones, but a few geographic regions will be on their radar this year as firms look to identify areas for future growth, consultants said.

For firms looking to expand their global presence, California and Washington, D.C., are key areas of interest, along with China, consultants said. Apart from Charlotte, N.C., which took a hit in the financial meltdown, it's harder to pinpoint geographical markets in decline, they added.
