National Flood Insurance Program Gets 3 More Months

Law360, New York (December 23, 2009, 1:48 PM EST) -- Congress has moved quickly to keep the clock from running out on the National Flood Insurance Program, enacting a three-month extension that will push the new end date from Dec. 23 to Feb. 28, 2010.

The extension, folded into H.R. 3326, the Department of Defense Appropriations Act of 2010, was signed into law by President Barack Obama Dec. 19, the same day the U.S. Senate voted 88-10 in favor of the bill, which easily cleared the House of Representatives Dec. 16 in a 395-34 vote....
