Paratek Sues USPTO Over Drug Patent Term

Law360, New York (January 4, 2010, 2:16 PM EST) -- Private drug company Paratek Pharmaceuticals Inc. has sued the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in an effort to correct an alleged miscalculation that robbed the company of nearly a year of patent protection for a compound used to fight antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
