Glatfelter Strikes $235M Deal To Buy Concert

Law360, New York (January 6, 2010, 12:33 PM EST) -- German paper product maker Glatfelter has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Concert Industries Corp., a maker of absorbent materials used in feminine hygiene and adult incontinence products, from Brookfield Special Situations Management Ltd. for $235 million.

The deal, which Glatfelter and Brookfield announced Tuesday, will be financed by a combination of cash on hand and debt. The company had about $136 million in cash and $194 million in credit available under its revolving credit facility as of November, it said.
