Constellation To Offer $400M Tender After EDF Deal

Law360, New York (January 6, 2010, 5:25 PM EST) -- In an effort to repay a $1 billion debt following the close of a massive nuclear assets deal with Electricite de France International SA, Constellation Energy Group Inc. has announced plans to offer a cash tender of up to $400 million aggregate principal amount on two sets of outstanding notes.

The Baltimore-based company said Wednesday it would offer the maximum tender cap for its outstanding 7 percent notes due on April 1, 2012, and its outstanding 4.55 percent notes due on June 15, 2015.
