Trial Starts In Pfizer's Norvasc Patent Dispute

Law360 (November 29, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- The trial began Tuesday in the longstanding patent fight between Pfizer Inc. and generic drug maker Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. over Pfizer’s blockbuster drug Norvasc.

U.S. District Judge Terrence McVerry is presiding over the trial, which is expected to last over a week.

At the heart of the long-awaited trial is the lawsuit Pfizer brought against Mylan in 2002.
