DOJ Seeks More Info On Equinix, Switch & Data Deal

Law360, New York (January 7, 2010, 12:36 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has made a second request for information from Internet exchange service provider Equinix Inc. regarding its proposed $689 million merger with data center operator Switch & Data Facilities Co. Inc., the companies said.

Foster City, Calif.-based Equinix received the request from the DOJ's Antitrust Division Wednesday, both companies said that day in separate filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
