Ky. Sewer Settlement Remanded For Court Approval

Law360, New York (January 7, 2010, 1:23 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has remanded for approval a contentious multimillion-dollar Clean Water Act settlement that the U.S. and Kentucky governments reached with a county in the state, an agreement that a district judge refused to sign off on because he felt the $425,000 civil penalty involved should be directed toward remediation efforts instead.
