Japan To Propose IP Body At OECD

Law360, New York (May 10, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Japan will propose the establishment of a specialized intellectual property body at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), according to local media reports.

Japan is expected to formally unveil its proposed project during a two-day ministerial meeting of the Paris-based club of 30 developed nations later this week, Tokyo newspapers reported.

Ministers from OECD countries will hold two days of talks in Paris on 13-14 May 2004 on the economy, trade, and issues relating to health and ageing populations. Their meetings, to be chaired...
