ITC Nixes GPS Probe After Honeywell-Pioneer Deal

Law360, New York (January 8, 2010, 2:54 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has agreed to drop its investigation into a complaint by Honeywell International Inc. that Pioneer Corp. infringed four patents related to automobile GPS devices, following a settlement reached between the parties.

The ITC decided to grant the parties' request Jan. 4, after Honeywell and Pioneer told the commission they had settled the dispute in late December, according to a Federal Register notice Friday.
