Auto Dealer Settles Age And Sex Bias Suit For $1.5M

Law360, New York (January 8, 2010, 2:58 PM EST) -- Colorado car dealership Ralph Schomp Automotive has agreed to cough up $1.51 million to settle a U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission suit filed on behalf of employees alleging age and sex discrimination.

The U.S. District Court dismissed the suit Thursday after the parties filed a consent decree in which Ralph Schomp agreed to pay the $1.51 million and to provide anti-discrimination training to its employees and managers.
