Rothstein's Atty May Have Conflicts Of Interest: US

Law360, New York (January 11, 2010, 2:25 PM EST) -- The lawyer for accused Ponzi schemer Scott W. Rothstein might have conflicts of interest because of his professional ties to Rothstein Rosenfeldt & Adler PA employees who have "apparent criminal culpability" in the alleged $1.2 billion scheme, the U.S. has contended.

Rothstein's lawyer, Marc Nurik, hasn't been implicated in the probe into the alleged scheme but could have conflicts of interest because he was formerly an RRA shareholder, the U.S. said in a filing Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida....
