EPA Drops Pennaco Mont. Water Standards Appeal

Law360, New York (January 11, 2010, 1:06 PM EST) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has dropped its appeal of a district court's order to re-examine Montana's clean water standards, which Wyoming and several coalbed methane producers had called unscientific in a lawsuit against the agency.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit on Thursday granted the EPA's request to voluntarily dismiss its appeal of the lower court's order.
