CPSC Approves Mandatory Recall Notice Guidelines

Law360, New York (January 11, 2010, 6:08 PM EST) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has unanimously approved a new rule setting guidelines and requirements for information in mandatory recall notices.

The rule, proposed as an amendment to the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act by President Barack Obama when he was a member of the U.S. Senate, will go into effect on publication in the Federal Register, the commission announced Monday.
