Cook Stent Patent Suit Stayed For Re-Exam

Law360, New York (January 13, 2010, 3:41 PM EST) -- A federal court has stayed a patent infringement lawsuit filed by medical device maker Cook Inc. against rival Endologix Inc. over endovascular stent grafts pending re-examination of the patents-in-suit.

Endologix said in a statement Wednesday that the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana had granted its motion to stay the case while the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office conducts an ex parte re-examination of the two Cook patents Endologix stands accused of infringing.
