ITC Weighs Trade Perks For Thai Tires

Law360, New York (January 13, 2010, 4:42 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission will investigate the impact of granting duty-free preferences to Thailand for new pneumatic radial tires made of rubber, part of a proposed modification to the U.S. trade preferences guidelines.

The commission said in a statement Tuesday that it had been asked by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative to look into the potential effect of a modification to the U.S. General System of Preferences, which would allow all Thai imports of the products to enter the U.S. without duties....
