Default Judgment Recommended In DHL OT Suit

Law360, New York (January 13, 2010, 1:22 PM EST) -- A magistrate judge has recommended that default judgment be entered against DHL Express to sanction the shipping company for repeatedly failing to produce a corporate representative for deposition in a suit accusing it of failing to pay overtime to its drivers.

Magistrate Judge Monte C. Richardson of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida on Tuesday granted the plaintiff's motion for sanctions and recommended that DHL's affirmative defenses be stricken and default judgment for liability be entered against it after the shipping company...
