General Counsel At Tech Firms Top Pay Survey

Law360, New York (January 13, 2010, 4:22 PM EST) -- Companies in the technology, media and telecommunications industries paid their general counsels more than companies in other sectors, according to a report by Equilar, an executive compensation research firm.

Equilar's In-Depth Top General Counsel Compensation Report, released on Wednesday, found that general counsels in tech, media and telecom companies had a median total compensation of nearly $1.4 million a year.

The median total compensation overall was $1,166,533, according to the report.
