Barrick Says New Gold Unlawfully Blocked El Morro Bid

Law360, New York (January 13, 2010, 7:34 PM EST) -- Barrick Gold Corp. has filed suit against New Gold Inc., alleging the exploration company is violating a contract and wrongfully attempting to block its acquisition of a 70 percent stake in Chile's El Morro copper-gold mining project by helping to prop up a rival bid from Goldcorp Inc.
