Monsanto Can Pursue Contract Claims V. DuPont: Judge

Law360, New York (January 19, 2010, 5:36 PM EST) -- A federal judge has handed Monsanto Co. a victory in its bitter fight with DuPont Co. over a patent for herbicide-resistant genetically modified soybeans and corn, ruling that DuPont was not licensed to combine certain genetic traits in its seeds and that Monsanto could continue to pursue breach of contract claims against its rival.
