Recruiter's Fee Spat With Paul Hastings To Go Ahead

Law360, New York (January 19, 2010, 5:51 PM EST) -- A New York state judge has refused to end a tiff between Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP and a legal recruiting company that claims the law firm failed to pay a £300,000 ($491,000) placement fee for finding a corporate partner for its London office.

In a ruling filed Jan. 14 in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Judge Milton A. Tingling sided with Attorney Placements International LLC, finding that Paul Hastings had not provided sufficient reason for its motion to dismiss....
