Microsoft, Belkin Settle Plug-And-Play Patent Suit

Law360 (December 4, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Microsoft Corp. and Belkin Corp. have settled a patent infringement suit over so-called U2, or “plug-and-play,” technology, bringing the four-month dispute before the U.S. International Trade Commission to an end.

Microsoft initially filed the lawsuit on Aug. 1, asking the ITC to block the importation of Belkin’s allegedly infringing products, which are manufactured in China. The case had reached the early stages of the discovery process, according to a Microsoft spokesperson.
