Spansion, Aehr Reach Pact On $18.5M Claim

Law360, New York (January 20, 2010, 6:26 PM EST) -- Bankrupt chip maker Spansion Inc. has agreed not to object to an $18.5 million unsecured claim from equipment supplier Aehr Test Systems in exchange for Aehr's commitment to complete the construction and delivery of four canceled WaferPak contactor devices.

The stipulation, approved Tuesday by Judge Kevin J. Carey in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, means Spansion will pay the claim without a fight and throw in an extra $210,000 to compensate Aehr for work on the unfinished products.
