Navy Launches Broad Energy Efficiency Initiative

Law360, New York (January 22, 2010, 12:09 PM EST) -- The U.S. Navy has partnered with the Department of Agriculture on an initiative to increase the Navy's use of biofuels and other renewable energy.

The two departments announced Thursday that they had signed a memorandum of understanding under which the Navy will cut petroleum use and will give greater weight to energy efficiency when making purchasing decisions.
