New Trial Granted In Failed Startup's Contract Fight

Law360, New York (January 22, 2010, 3:22 PM EST) -- A state appeals court in Massachusetts is ordering a new trial to redetermine damages in a $4.95 million securities and contract case over now-defunct Internet startup One to One Interactive Inc.

The Massachusetts Appeals Court ruled on Thursday not to throw out a jury verdict against company co-founders Ian and Jeremi Karnell for breach of fiduciary duty and intentional interference with a contract but ordered a new trial that could reduce the amount of the award.
