FERC Forced To Review Natural Gas Reporting Rule

Law360, New York (January 25, 2010, 12:56 PM EST) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will have to take a second look at its expansive changes to financial forms and reporting rules for interstate natural gas pipelines following a federal appellate court ruling.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit ordered FERC on Friday to review its proposed rule changes because it did not seriously consider suggestions made by then-Commissioner John P. Wellinghoff — now the commission's chairman — in response to a filing by the American Gas Association.
