Ford Fights US Bid To Toss Jaguar Duty Refund Suit

Law360, New York (January 26, 2010, 5:22 PM EST) -- Ford Motor Co. has filed a bid for summary judgment in response to the U.S. government's attempt to dismiss a suit seeking refunds of duties on imported Jaguar cars.

In a motion filed Friday in the U.S. Court of International Trade, Ford took issue with the federal government's contention that the court lacks subject matter jurisdiction, arguing that the suit was Ford's only remedy at the time it was filed in April.
