Attorney General Insists Wal-Mart, Target Have It Wrong

Law360, New York (December 5, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Target Corp. have misunderstood Minnesota state law regarding predatory pricing and are free to offer generic drugs at rock-bottom prices, according to state Attorney General Mike Hatch.

“You can certainly have loss-leaders,” says Hatch. “The issue is that you can’t do it for the purpose of driving out competition.”
