EU Troubled By Long Wait For Boeing Ruling: Report

Law360, New York (January 25, 2010, 1:46 PM EST) -- The European Union reportedly has raised concerns about the 10-month gap between the World Trade Organization's September interim ruling that EU loans to Airbus SAS were illegal subsidies and its expected June ruling on the EU's accusation that the U.S. is subsidizing Boeing Co., saying the long delay could make negotiations between the EU and the U.S. difficult.

EU spokeswoman Christiane Hohmann said that in addition to impeding negotiations, the delay was unnecessary because the two cases were so similar that the WTO could hear them...
