BLM Loses Bid To Nix Enviro Group's Sage Grouse Suit

Law360, New York (January 26, 2010, 4:43 PM EST) -- A federal judge has refused to dismiss a case brought by a conservation group that accused the Bureau of Land Management of failing to protect the greater sage grouse and its habitat in Idaho and Nevada.

Judge B. Lynn Winmill of the U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho issued the ruling Monday, but he ordered the Nevada claims to be transferred to Nevada federal court, saying that forum would be more convenient and the Idaho court is too busy anyway.
