Fed. Circ. Rejects Lawler Bid to Nix Valve License

Law360, New York (January 28, 2010, 6:31 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court has rejected a bid by Lawler Manufacturing Co. to terminate a license agreement with Bradley Corp. in a long-running patent dispute over mixing valves used to blend hot and cold water.

In a 2-1 decision issued Wednesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed a lower court ruling refusing to terminate the license agreement, finding that Lawler had failed to give Bradley proper notice of termination as required under the license agreement between the two companies.
