Antitrust Claims Dropped In 3M Stethoscope IP Suit

Law360, New York (January 29, 2010, 2:03 PM EST) -- A federal judge has dismissed antitrust-related counterclaims in 3M Co.'s patent and trademark infringement suit over stethoscopes, following defendant Pradeep Mohan's decision that the claims would be too difficult to pursue.

Judge Ann D. Montgomery of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota signed off Thursday on a stipulation between 3M and Mohan, dismissing with prejudice the four antitrust-based counterclaims.
