Oracle Accuses Las Vegas Firm Of 'Massive' IP Theft

Law360, New York (January 29, 2010, 1:17 PM EST) -- Oracle USA Inc. has filed a testy copyright, fraud and breach of contract lawsuit against a Las Vegas-based software support firm and its CEO, accusing them of "massive theft" of the enterprise software giant's intellectual property.

The complaint, lodged Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, accuses Rimini Street Inc., founded in 2005, and CEO Seth Ravin of basing the company’s entire business model on an illegal scheme to download Oracle software and support materials without the proper license.
