CIT Nixes Penalties Against UPS Customhouse

Law360, New York (February 1, 2010, 4:17 PM EST) -- The U.S. Court of International Trade has ruled that the federal government won't be able to collect penalties imposed on UPS Customhouse Brokerage Inc. over an alleged failure to exercise responsible supervision and control over its customs brokerage business, saying government officials skipped an essential checklist.
