9th Circ. Affirms Ponzi Convictions, Sentences

Law360, New York (February 1, 2010, 2:59 PM EST) -- A federal appellate court has upheld the sentences and convictions of three men who were found guilty of fraudulently soliciting more than $40 million from investors in a Ponzi scheme that lasted about four years.

In a decision Thursday, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit affirmed the convictions of Ricky D. Sluder and Larry C. Saturday and upheld the sentences of the two men and co-defendant Randall T. Treadwell.
