Cardiac Science Recalls 12,200 Faulty Defibrillators

Law360, New York (February 4, 2010, 5:50 PM EST) -- Cardiac Science Corp. has begun a voluntary recall of about 12,200 automated external defibrillators that may not function under certain conditions, a problem that the company says could lead to patient deaths.

Cardiac Science detected the issue through its internal quality control system, and has not received complaints about problems in the field, it said in an announcement Wednesday.
