Milberg Weiss Name Partner Resigns Amid Probe

Law360, New York (December 8, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Steven G. Schulman, a name-partner who was charged by federal prosecutors earlier this year, resigned Friday from embattled plaintiffs firm Milberg Weiss Bershad & Schulman LLP.

For the past eight months, Schulman has been on a leave of absence from the firm after the federal government indicted the firm, him and another partner for several criminal counts in the handling of class action lawsuits.

"Both as a former member of the law firm and as an individual, I will vigorously fight the indictments," Schulman said Friday....
