Mining Cos. Settle CERCLA Suit For $11.2M In Land

Law360, New York (February 9, 2010, 6:34 PM EST) -- A federal judge has signed off on a pair of consent decrees between two former mining companies and the federal and South Dakota governments for the transfer of land worth about $11.2 million in lieu of payment for cleanup costs for a contaminated mine site.
