Airbag Problems Lead To Recall Of 379K Hondas

Law360, New York (February 10, 2010, 12:51 PM EST) -- American Honda Motor Co. Inc. has recalled 379,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to a problem that could cause airbags to deploy with too much pressure and injure passengers.

The company said in a statement Tuesday that the latest recall came on top of previous recalls, totaling 500,000 Honda vehicles, for the same problem in November 2008 and July 2009. The company said it was aware of 12 incidents related to the airbag issue, including one fatality and 11 injuries.
