OFT Pushes For Further Scrutiny Of BAA

Law360 (December 12, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a move that could result in a market breakup, the U.K.'s Office of Fair Trading has decided to refer airports operator British Airports Authority to the country’s antitrust regulatory agency for further investigation.

On Tuesday, the competition watchdog announced that it planned to send the BAA issue to the Competition Commission, wrapping up its months-long inquiry into the U.K. airports market.
