JFTC Stays Stop Order On Qualcomm Licensing Terms

Law360, New York (February 11, 2010, 2:00 PM EST) -- A Japanese court has stayed the enforcement of a cease-and-desist order the country's competition authority issued against Qualcomm Inc. last fall over its patent-licensing agreements with Japanese manufacturers, the company said Thursday.

Qualcomm said that the Tokyo High Court stayed the Japan Fair Trade Commission's Sept. 30 order until authorities complete a full evidentiary hearing on the merits and a final decision is reached.
