CBD Accuses US Of Withholding Uranium Mine Info

Law360, New York (February 12, 2010, 2:43 PM EST) -- The Center for Biological Diversity has accused the U.S. Bureau of Land Management of illegally refusing to provide records related to uranium mines on public land near the Grand Canyon, the latest suit in the environmental group's ongoing dispute with the federal government over Arizona mines.

The complaint — filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona — alleges that the BLM has failed to provide records that the environmental group requested in July under the Freedom of Information Act.
